Sales Executive / Manager – IT Solutions (BFSI Sector)

Job Description

We are looking for a driven and technically competent Sales Professional to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding with proven sales and relationship management skills to drive growth in the BFSI segment. This role involves identifying client needs, presenting tailored software and service solutions, and managing the complete sales lifecycle — from lead generation to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within mid-sized and large BFSI organizations (banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, etc.).
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, presentation, proposal, negotiation, and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships at CXO and senior management levels.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to design and present customized solutions that align with client requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of company products, software features, and technology trends.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and periodic performance reports.
  • Attend industry events, client meetings, and networking sessions to expand market reach.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and contribute to account retention and growth.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology.
    • MBA (Marketing / IT / Operations) from a reputable institution preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in IT solution sales or software product/services sales.
    • Proven track record in selling to BFSI clients or other enterprise-level organizations.
  • Technical Competence:
    • Good understanding of software applications, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical decision-makers.
    • Comfortable using CRM tools, sales automation platforms, and MS Office / Google Workspace.
  • Sales & Communication Skills:
    • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand client pain points and propose appropriate solutions.
    • Ability to create compelling value propositions for IT products and services.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel frequently across India for client meetings and events.
    • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
    • Professional demeanor and the ability to represent the company confidently at client and industry forums.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Exposure to digital transformation, cloud-based applications, AI/ML, or FinTech platforms.
  • Understanding of BFSI workflows, regulatory frameworks, and compliance needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with pre-sales, delivery, and marketing teams.
  • Strong networking skills and an existing base of BFSI contacts is an advantage.
