Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team in Ottawa. This is a full-time, term/contract role (3 years) with potential for extension. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, modify, integrate, and test software code (e-commerce & other Internet applications)

  • Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions

  • Prepare reports, manuals, and documentation on software status, operation, and maintenance

  • Research and evaluate software products

  • Consult with clients post-sale to provide ongoing support

Required Experience & Skills

Technical Knowledge (must-have):

Agile, Android, Jira, Machine Learning, Xcode, Linux, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Security software, SQL, API, AWS, Git, Go, MySQL, Python, React.js, SASS, XML, Android Studio, Ubuntu, Unix Shell Scripting, MS SQL Server, WordPress

Preferred Qualities:

Domain Experience:

  • Design, development, and quality assurance in software applications

  • Experience working in Scrum / Agile environments

Personal & Professional Traits:

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Initiative, judgement, organization

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

  • Client focus, teamwork, resourcefulness, dependability, integrity

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass criminal record check

  • Willing to relocate to Ottawa

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years

What We Offer

Employment Terms & Salary

  • Salary Range: CAD 72,000 to CAD 100,000 annually (negotiable)

  • Hours: 40 to 60 hours/week

  • Type: Full-time / Term / Contract

  • Start Date: As soon as possible

  • End Date: October 7, 2028

  • Vacancies: 1
