How To Define Policies Inside ATA

In ATA, you define policies—called Governance Policies—to enforce standards and best practices across your APIs. These policies are created in the API Governance section and can include rules for security, data validation, versioning, and performance, using Spectral Rules in JSON or YAML format. Each policy can have multiple, versioned rule sets, which are applied automatically during API specification validation in Developer Studio. This ensures that all your APIs consistently follow organizational and industry requirements, with any violations or issues flagged for review and correction during the development process.
